2024 Spring River Cleanup

2024 Spring River Cleanup

April 13th 2024 ( 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM )

Update 2: All registered volunteers should have received an email from [email protected] at 2 PM on 4/9.  Any email addresses previously unsubscribed could not be emailed or re-added.
Volunteer information can also be found at the links below (see "Volunteer Info Here" by each site listing).

Update 1:  All cleanup locations have reached maximum capacity and cannot accept any additional registrations. Thank you for understanding!

Join Friends of the Reedy River on Saturday, April 13 from 9 - 11:30 am for our 2024 Spring River Cleanup! Check-in will be from 8:30-9 am before the cleanup begins. In the event of inclement weather, the cleanup will be rescheduled for the following Saturday, April 20.

We will have a registration cap for each site to ensure we don’t put undue pressure on the river or our resources at any one location, so be sure to register before your favorite location fills up! Everyone must register individually and must have their own separate signed waivers. There are no group registrations available for this cleanup. People who wish to be at the same site as their friends, family, or coworkers should sign up as soon as possible once registration opens on March 18. Registration will officially close on April 7 or once all locations are full.

We want to thank our presenting sponsor, Dapper Ink, and our afterparty sponsor, Southernside Brewing Co., for helping us maintain our community's treasure of the Reedy River. We could not do this project without them!

Specific site information will be emailed to registered volunteers during the week before the Cleanup and posted here on our website.

Please plan to dress appropriately. Wear clothes that can get wet & dirty, and waders or boots if you have them. Closed-toe shoes are required. We recommend bringing a towel and/or change of clothes for after the cleanup. FoRR will provide all other necessary items such as gloves, trash grabbers, trash bags, tools, etc. We will follow up with additional details about what to expect the week before the cleanup.

After the cleanup, volunteers are encouraged to join us at our Spring Cleanup Afterparty Celebration at Southernside Brewing (25 Delano Drive Unit D, Greenville, South Carolina 29601) to celebrate our hard work!

We can’t wait to see everyone at the river soon!  Please contact us with any questions.
